Feeder cable is where the real money sits in most industrial surplus piles: large conductors, long lengths, and a buyer pool that needs exactly those sizes.
Industrial feeders run from switchgear to panels, from transformers to motor control centers, and from substations to plant distribution. They are large: 1/0 through 1000 MCM, single or multiconductor, 600 volts through 15kV, in copper or aluminum.
Because feeders are expensive and ordered to length, a partial reel can still represent thousands of dollars of product. That is why feeder cable should always be quoted as cable first and scrap second.
| Conductor | Copper or aluminum, Class B stranding |
|---|---|
| Size range | 1/0 AWG through 1000 kcmil |
| Voltage | 600V, 1kV, 5kV, 8kV, 15kV |
| Insulation | XLPE, EPR, PVC/nylon |
| Standard | UL 44, UL 1072, ICEA, AEIC CS8 |
Feeder value scales with size and length. A 500 MCM copper reel is a fundamentally different asset from a 1/0 aluminum reel, and they should never be quoted as one blended lot unless the convenience is worth the discount.
The number you get reflects three things: whether the construction is still in use, how much footage remains, and whether the jacket and print are intact. Everything else is secondary.
Plant expansions, MCC replacements and transformer upgrades in Georgia's manufacturing corridors create feeder surplus. Data centers in metro Atlanta and the I-85 corridor are another steady source.
We reply with a range for full reels, partial spools and mixed lots, anywhere in Georgia.
By usable footage, material, insulation type and print clarity, benchmarked against current wire pricing rather than scrap. Send the tag and a side photo of the reel.
We purchase material after removal. If a plant is decommissioning a line, we can quote the removed cable as a lot once it is staged.
They can, but each is priced separately within the lot because their values differ by a wide margin.
We buy statewide. A few of the markets where this category comes up most:

Send the details below and include photos of your spools, reels and labels. Photos are what let us identify the construction, estimate footage, and give you a real number instead of a guess.
