Full reels, partial reels, mismatched reels and a warehouse full of both: we buy wire inventory by the spool, by the pallet and by the truckload.
Most surplus wire is not a neat pallet of identical sealed reels. It is a mix: three full reels, eleven partials, four unidentified coils and a stack of spools whose tags fell off years ago. That is a normal inventory and we quote it as one lot.
Partial reels are priced on estimated footage, which we derive from the reel tag or from the wrap diameter. Full reels with tags are priced as product. Unidentified reels are priced on conductor content until we can identify the construction from the print.
| Reel types | Wooden, plywood, plastic and steel returnable reels |
|---|---|
| Footage range | 25 ft partials through 10,000 ft full reels |
| Typical lot sizes | One pallet to a full truckload |
| Evaluation | Footage estimate, print identification, conductor condition |
| Pickup | Statewide, including forklift and flatbed loading |
The practical advice is simple: do not spend a weekend measuring. Send photos of the stack, a rough count, and the tags that are still readable. We can usually estimate the lot from that and refine the number at inspection.
We price against what the material is worth as usable wire, then compare that to conductor value so you can see the difference. If a reel has lost its jacket or its print, we say so and price it accordingly.
Georgia warehouses, contractor shops and plant stockrooms hold enormous amounts of partial wire that will never be installed. Distributors clearing discontinued SKUs and facilities closing a location are the largest single sources.
We reply with a range for full reels, partial spools and mixed lots, anywhere in Georgia.
Yes, that is most of what we buy. Footage is estimated from the tag or the wrap, and the price reflects remaining length and condition.
We identify the construction from the jacket print where possible. If the print is gone, the wire is evaluated on conductor size and insulation condition.
Yes. We arrange pickup statewide and can work with a loading dock, a forklift or a flatbed trailer depending on how the material is staged.
We buy wire, not empty reels. Some buyers purchase returnable wooden reels separately, and we can point you that direction if you have a large quantity.
We buy statewide. A few of the markets where this category comes up most:

Send the details below and include photos of your spools, reels and labels. Photos are what let us identify the construction, estimate footage, and give you a real number instead of a guess.
