Manufacturing plants buy wire for outages, then keep the remainder for the next one. Ten years later, the storeroom holds a small fortune in reels that no longer match current equipment.
Plant storerooms are built for uptime, not inventory accuracy. That means spare reels of tray cable, control cable, XHHW feeders and MC in sizes tied to equipment that may have been replaced twice since the reels were purchased.
We buy plant surplus as a storeroom lot, as a specific rack, or as a single high-value reel. Because we buy wire rather than scrap, we can price the material on what it is worth as product, which is usually well above the metal content.
Georgia is a manufacturing state: automotive suppliers in the west, carpet and floorcovering in Dalton, poultry and food processing in Gainesville and south Georgia, paper in Savannah and Jesup, and a broad base of plastics, metals and packaging plants statewide.
Most engagements follow the same path: you send photos or an inventory list, we respond with a range and a list of anything we need clarified, then we schedule an inspection at your site. After inspection we confirm a firm number, agree a count, and schedule removal. Payment is made by check or bank transfer once the count is agreed.
We buy wire and cable only. Transformers, switchgear, breakers, panels, motors, tools and general scrap are outside our scope, and we will help you separate them so the wire lot can be valued cleanly.
A wide shot of the racks plus a few readable tags is enough for us to give you a realistic range.
Yes. We coordinate site access, contractor safety documentation and inspection windows with your plant contact. Material is removed only after an approved count.
Yes. Current-production spare reels are the highest-value part of a plant surplus lot, and we price them against current wire pricing.
We purchase wire after it has been removed and staged. For decommissioning projects we can quote the removed cable as a lot once it is on the floor.
Send the details below and include photos of your spools, reels and labels. Photos are what let us identify the construction, estimate footage, and give you a real number instead of a guess.
