SOOW is the portable cord that powers everything from temporary job-site power to rental equipment, and unused coils are easy to sell when the print is intact.
SOOW cable is a 600 volt, 90 degree C portable cord with oil-resistant thermoset insulation and jacket, made in 18 AWG through 2 AWG with two to five conductors. The designation breaks down as service cord, oil resistant, water resistant, and ozone resistant.
Surplus SOOW comes from rental fleets, plant maintenance stockrooms and contractors running temporary power. Because it is a finished assembly with molded ends or bare conductor ends, buyers care a great deal about jacket condition and water exposure.

Water and oil exposure degrade the jacket, and once the jacket swells or cracks the cord is scrap. Unused coils in original wrap are the strongest sellers by a wide margin.
We price against what the material is worth as usable wire, then compare that to conductor value so you can see the difference. If a reel has lost its jacket or its print, we say so and price it accordingly.
Rental yards, manufacturing plants and industrial contractors across Georgia keep SOOW in stock for temporary power. Fleet turnover and equipment upgrades create surplus coils several times a year at larger plants.
We reply with a range for full reels, partial spools and mixed lots, anywhere in Georgia.
Yes, when the jacket is intact. Used portable cord is common on job sites and is purchased at a lower price than new stock.
SJOOW is a 300 volt junior version with a smaller conductor range. SOOW is the 600 volt heavy-duty construction and generally brings a better price.
The damaged section is excluded. If enough clean length remains it is still quotable; otherwise the copper value applies.
