TC is the rating that lets a multiconductor cable live in open tray. We buy TC power and control cable in every configuration Georgia plants use.
TC cable is a 600 volt or 1kV multiconductor assembly with an overall jacket, listed to UL 1277 and permitted in cable tray, raceway and, in some constructions, direct burial. Conductors range from 18 AWG control sizes to 1000 MCM power conductors.
For sellers, TC is one of the easier categories to document: the jacket usually states the type, voltage, conductor count and size, and the reel tag carries footage. Clean documentation means a faster, firmer offer.
| Construction | Multiconductor with overall jacket |
|---|---|
| Voltage rating | 600V or 1kV |
| Temperature | 90 degrees C dry, 75 degrees C wet |
| Size range | 18 AWG through 1000 kcmil |
| Standard | UL 1277; NEC 392, 501 and 502 applications |
TC is often confused with tray cable generally. When you send photos, the key detail is the print: TC, TC-ER, or a specific manufacturer's tray rating. TC-ER adds exposed run permission and usually prices higher.
We price against what the material is worth as usable wire, then compare that to conductor value so you can see the difference. If a reel has lost its jacket or its print, we say so and price it accordingly.
Georgia's industrial base buys TC by the reel: chemical plants near Augusta, paper mills in Jesup and Savannah, food plants in Gainesville and south Georgia, and automotive suppliers in the west.
We reply with a range for full reels, partial spools and mixed lots, anywhere in Georgia.
TC-ER adds an exposed run rating, meaning the cable can leave the tray for a limited distance without conduit. That flexibility makes TC-ER more valuable than standard TC.
Only constructions specifically listed for direct burial. Standard TC is not a direct burial product, which is why the print matters.
Yes. High conductor count control cable is common plant surplus and we quote it by conductor count and size.
We buy statewide. A few of the markets where this category comes up most:

Send the details below and include photos of your spools, reels and labels. Photos are what let us identify the construction, estimate footage, and give you a real number instead of a guess.
