Process plants run more cable per acre than almost any other facility, and much of it is specialized enough that scrap pricing is a serious loss.
Chemical plant electrical work includes instrumentation cable for process control, tray cable for field wiring, shielded power cable for large drives and switchgear connections, and heat trace cable for freeze protection and process temperature.
Specialized cable is where sellers lose the most money. A reel of shielded instrument cable can be worth many times its copper content, and heat trace is a category in its own right that requires a knowledgeable buyer.
Georgia's chemical manufacturing clusters along the Savannah River near Augusta, in the Brunswick and Savannah port areas, and at inland sites in middle Georgia. Turnarounds are the main source of surplus cable.
Most engagements follow the same path: you send photos or an inventory list, we respond with a range and a list of anything we need clarified, then we schedule an inspection at your site. After inspection we confirm a firm number, agree a count, and schedule removal. Payment is made by check or bank transfer once the count is agreed.
We buy wire and cable only. Transformers, switchgear, breakers, panels, motors, tools and general scrap are outside our scope, and we will help you separate them so the wire lot can be valued cleanly.
A wide shot of the racks plus a few readable tags is enough for us to give you a realistic range.
Yes, when the construction and voltage are documented. Heat trace is priced on its own terms rather than as ordinary conductor.
By pair count, AWG, shield type and footage, along with jacket condition. Weight-based pricing is not appropriate for signal cable.
Yes. Turnarounds generate concentrated volumes in a short window, and we can stage and evaluate material within that schedule.
Send the details below and include photos of your spools, reels and labels. Photos are what let us identify the construction, estimate footage, and give you a real number instead of a guess.
